Critical Thinking

What if the "common core" of education was focused on broad cross-cutting concepts and critical thinking?

What if the words of William Gormley, in his book The Critical Advantage, became the focus of education?

William Gormley emphasized blending thinking - problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking together.

What impact has the "common core" had on high achievers, those with talent and drive, and divergent thinkers with more of an entrepreneurial mindset?

Could the increased critical thinking skills of students growing up with video games be leading to a more critical analysis of school by those students?

Could that be related to the bulk of recent studies finding students have decreased interest, decreased motivation, decreased active engagement, and a higher incidence of frustration as seen in higher cyberbullying and suicide rates accelerated by social media comparisons by those students?
